Bejeweled Twist Coming to DS

According to Popcap this game took four years to develop and it boasts the highest development budget for a casual game.  It’s already available for PC but I shall wait until the DS version hits store shelves.

    Well that person is of course me — I love Bejeweled ! I am very excited to
    see this post and I will get it as soon as possible. That looks great, thank you
    for the post. I will be looking for a release date.

    Doesn’t Ruth like Bejeweled as well ?

    It was only last night she saw the news and said "I like Bejewelled". I think I shall see if I can find out any new info regarding a release date. :)

    Well I did some digging and found out about a DS and DSi version. The games will be released in the first quarter of 2010. Here is a little update on the gameplay for you.

    Bejeweled Twist features a revolutionary new style of play and removes the barriers of traditional match-3 games. Instead of swapping adjacent jewels to make a set, players rotate an entire 2×2 block of gems clockwise in an effort to create a line of three or more gems of the same type. Additionally, in Bejeweled Twist, players don’t have to make a match with every move – instead they can freely rotate gems anywhere on the board, allowing far greater liberty of movement and vastly increased strategic freedom to plan combinations, cascades and chains.

    Bejeweled Twist DS contains even more gameplay action, including three additional game modes: Zen (for a quick stress-busting experience), Blitz (for past-paced action to challenge even the most hardcore players) and Challenge (featuring infinite action and multiple levels of difficulty).

    Oh No that is a long time to wait but the game sounds excellent. Tell
    Ruth we shall have some fun comparing notes on this one. I absolutely
    want Bejeweled Twist.

    I will be absolutely delighted to add that one to my collection.

    I can see why they call it twist — I do wish it was out now, games like that
    never wear out and I never get tired of them. I do hope it is early in the
    first quarter of 2010 :morehearts: :great: :OO:
