General Discussion
Now this is a post that may interest you ladies. I watched this video with interest because I kinda know the games WoN ladies play and I think this discussion goes in a completely different direction. I can’t imagine WoN ladies simply playing cooking and fitness games. I also know of one man that bought a pink DS.

How stupid is that, I have never liked CNBC anyway. I don’t even know
where to start.
Are the lady gamers of WoN just odd, better than most or what. I found that
video just made me mad through and through.
Pink — an excellent educated and very good gamer.
Yvonne and Paula — very capable — play lots of games and are eagerly
looking forward to Spirit Tracks. You all know me and the games I play
from having all the golds in Mario Kart Wii ( a lot of you helped me with
the tracks I had trouble with ) to being and avid Zelda fan. We cover a wide
range of ages and we play REAL games ! Sandi is playing a lot of games as
well — and a variety of games. We play the games the rest of you play
and we do just fine.
I just finished M & L and am well into NSMB — I just think that video was
pure stupid junk. Just so you know I do cook for my family but HR is a
better cook than I am. I never watch the food network — and I don’t
have pink DS or a pink anything else but good for those that do. My
daughter loves pink — I have no idea why — maybe because she never saw
it when she was young. She also rides a Harley with a Christian group of
riders. We target shoot as a family and I am as good as either one of them.
Why Why Why do they continue to try and put females in a little box
wrapped in pink !
I told myself I would ignore that silly video and just go on — I guess I flunked
that one

I had a funny feeling that this video would cause a slight response. Glad to see you enjoyed watching it.

I am glad to hear you think that was slight !
I needed something to get me stirred up this morning — I have a lot to
do today
I hope some of the other lady gamers of WoN say what they think.

i haven’t time at the moment to watch the video, but after reading Lynn’s response I shall watch it later today and post on the topic, I would imagine I will have a few things to say to.

Its ok I got it to work eventually!
My mood was not great before I watched the video, I don’t think it is any better now…
what a load of twaddle/rubbish, so we are female and the only games we should be playing or interested in are cooking games and fitness games. Then I would never play games if that was the case, because those are the sort’s of game I do not play.
I do cook, but I am also very handy with a hammer and screwdriver a paint brush and papering table e.t.c.
As you say Lynn, its another case of trying to wrap females in a little box made of pink, when oh when are they going to learn.
I have played games for a very long time, all sorts of games… from FPS, to racing games (ok i’m not great at those kind ). I will NOT be put in any PINK box for anyone. Apart from the fact I don’t like Pink, blue is more my colour. lol.

I did think you would see it that way Paula, I think any of us would.
The video is insulting to the ladies. However I already had my say

My sisters doesn’t like games that much… But when they do play it’s not Cooking Mama and Nintendogs!
It’s Mario, Tetris, Zelda, etc…
There are some games out there that are more targeted to girls, and some that are more targeted to boys, but obviously ANYone can like any tipe of game.
